When I first moved to the LES, a friend pointed out Harold one night in Max Fish. From that point on, he seemed omnipresent; whether working the counter in Supreme, crossing Christie Street, or on the TV in Vail, Colorado. For me, Harold was always NYC's premier ambassador, and always will be.

Why is life so fragile??? One of the sweetest funniest guys I ever met back in the day. You took me out to my first club when I was way too young to get into. lol... I think it was the old Club Life on Bleecker St. You are that skater guy. You are LES. You are NYC. You are a legend. Although we were never too close, whenever I saw you from time to time you had a genuine interest in how things were going in my life. You always had a smile for everyone and lit up every room you entered. I know you will be greatly missed by all that you encountered. A truly kindred & special spirit. May you rest in peace forever and my most sincere condolences to your family.

Harold was always the cat that was cool with everybody. No matter who and what you were; Harold was always happy to see you, and would always remember, respect, and be friendly with you. That's one of the many qualities that made him stand up above and beyond the rest of the people. Especially in NYC - so many other people can be so pretentious, but that word wasn't even in his vocabulary! Rest in peace.
