figure I would start this over here since it was going good on myspace. I got two memories that stand out in my mind right now. the first was one of those night sessions at the front steps of union square park. All of a sudden we all stop and look down broadway seeing harold hauling ass popping tricks over sewer caps. Then ollies up the curb, up the first 5 steps and frontside 180'ed the second set of four. goes all around giving pounds, high fives, and handshakes saying wassup to everyone there. The skate session was ON all night from that point. The second was dj'ing my friends loft on canal at his 2006 new years eve. the stereo system blew out, had to use some JBL speakers as backup and pretty much had someone harrass me all night on what I should play, this and that and you gotta play this. I then hear harold say " Yo, Yo DJ! Put on that hot nuts yo, I know you got that hot nuts to play yo, get these girls dancing in here". After that I played what i ever I wanted and ignored that person who was telling me what to play for the rest of the night and had a better time and got I disagree molested for putting on some reggae hahahaha. The Harold Hunter Legend will never die as long as we continue to keep it alive like this. Skaterdays

One of my favorite memories of Harold was when we were dating back in 99'. I lived on roosevelt island at the time. noone ever came over there, but Harold was always down to visit me on that nutsty island. This one perticualr night, it was really nice out. He and I walked along the outskirts of the island along the water. All the stars were out and he was telling me about his past and his family and it was one of those moments where Harold was not being all jokster. It was so nice because he trusted me enough to let me in on who he is and where he came from. My quite moments with him are the ones I cherish the most ( mainly cause there werent alot of them..hahaha) I love to think of him whn he was younger. Dressed as a boy scout, the only balck kid in the whole troupe. God, I will miss him. Few people ever loved me like him. I think anyone that was close to him can say that.

When I first started skating Harold used to see me around doing my thing getting better...Next thing you know he invited me to the old headquarters on 13th street to hit me off with a brand new deck. Every time i saw him around he wouldnt think twice about saying wassup...very humble character...good heart too...I have a lot of love for the guy..RIP

I cant belive this, I just found out. Harold's fam- I'm so sorry for your loss. Harold's impact on popular culture will not soon be forgotton. He was such a great person I feel lucky to have been able to spend time with him while he was here. We spent 2 days together @ slam city jam in Vancouver Canada the summer before last and I felt like I knew him my whole life. . . much respect
