I've seen this kid in my hood for over 16 years. More of a friend of a friend than anything. We'd give eachother the ghetto head nod whenever we crossed paths, nothing more. It was pretty unaviodable at times due to the fact that I ran with R.F.C. and if you grew up or hung out in the village during the early 90's, you knew who we where.....
Then Kid's comes out and....remember that scene when they break into Drydock (If you are not from the Lowa, thats' the pool on 10th & Ave. D.) and he get's naked and does that thingy swinging thing? Can't tell you how many times I've done that in the privacy of my own home...
Yesterday I went to the funeral. Can't tell you how many friends, that I've been out of touch with over the years, enemies that I swore I would never be in the same room with...None of it mattered, we hugged, said our peace, as if it was 92 all over again.
Why do we always have to meet like this?
As much as death takes something away, it's funny how it brings you closer...
Rest in peace Harold, may all your questions in life, be answered in death......

It's amazing how when someone dies, it can bring the worst of enemies together.
